RCF’s SRail Coach Factory, Kapurthala is in the process of technical approval of vendors for critical items. Schedule of Technical Requirements(STRs) have been prepared for these items giving details of infrastructural and other requirements. These can be downloaded from the link given below.

The vendors are required to apply for technical approval on the application form no. MDF0011 along with all the requisite documents. For each critical item, a separate duly filled application should be submitted. An application money of Rs. 2500/- needs to be deposited for each item for which approval is sought. This amount may be submitted in cash in the office of FA&CAO/RCF or through a DD on any Nationalized Bank payable at Hussainpur, in favour of FA&CAO/RCF.

The vendors are required to submit the Application Form duly filled in & along with supporting documents in the office of the Chief Design Engineer, Administrative Building, Rail Coach Factory, Kapurthala-144602 (Punjab).
After receipt of application forms, the cases are processed and an official of RCF visits the factory premises of the vendor to assess the technical capability of the vendor. Based on scrutiny of the documents submitted by the vendor and the assessment report of the RCF official, the vendor is advised the deficiencies observed. After the vendor makes good these deficiencies, the case of the vendor is processed for technical approval and is recommended for inclusion in the list of approved vendors for critical items.
